Man’s Best Friend Therapy Dogs Eases 9-1-1 Dispatcher Stress

Retired U.S. Army soldier, Chaplain Ron Leonard and his therapy dog Molly will be traveling for MLB about the state of Tennessee honoring 9-1-1 “Hidden Heroes” during National Telecommunicators Week.

“Our therapy dog Molly makes regular visits to Nashville, Tennessee 9-1-1 communications centers bringing joy and laughter to an already stressful job,” said Ron. “We also travel with her to children’s events, The Hope Lodge (American Cancer Society), Churches, Assisted Living Facilities, etc. Molly and I also travel helping other 9-1-1 communications centers and training other therapy dogs to respond to a crisis!”

Molly recently passed 1700 visits making a lasting difference in reducing stress and brightening the days of those she visits.

Man’s Best Friend is an animal-assisted therapy charity that uses ordinary people and their beloved dogs to the message of love, hope, kindness, and compassion to the community.
